Colored sketch of the viewing station for the black rhinoceros at the Chaffee Zoo. “A grassy meadow with a water hole is designed to fit among a grove of existing trees along the north edge of the plains exhibit. The normal activity of the rhinos may be observed from a ground level viewing station or from above on the elevated ramp that leads to the giraffe feeding station.”
